Office Equipment at Discount Office
This is the gear that does the heavy lifting in the background — the shredder you only think about when it jams, the laminator that turns a printed sheet into a 5-year sign, the label printer that finally makes the storeroom searchable. We stock the full working range from Dymo, Brother, GBC, Rexel, Fellowes and Casio, plus every tape, pouch, coil and label you'll need to keep them running.
All stock is held at warehouses across NZ with us or our suppliers with same or next business day on most orders, with free delivery on orders over $30 NZ-wide.
Paper shredders — pick by security level, not just sheet count
For most offices, a cross-cut or micro-cut shredder is the sensible default — strip-cut shredders are technically still on the market but won't satisfy the Privacy Act if a determined person wants to reassemble what you binned. Match the duty cycle to actual use: a 10-sheet personal shredder is fine for one desk, but if reception is feeding it 30 minutes at a time you want a 20+ sheet commercial unit from our shredders range (Rexel, Fellowes, HSM and Ideal). Shred bags and lubricant sheets are stocked under shredder supplies.
Laminators & pouches
The two things that matter for laminators are warm-up time and maximum pouch thickness (in microns). 80–100 micron pouches are fine for menus, signs and certificates; 125–250 micron is what you want for ID cards, kids' learning aids and anything that gets handled hundreds of times. Match the pouch thickness rating to the machine before you buy. Browse laminators, laminating pouches and cleaning sheets.
Label printers — Dymo vs Brother
If you're labelling shelves, files and storage boxes around the office, a Dymo LabelWriter or Brother P-touch is the right tool — far cheaper per label than feeding a sheet of A4 labels through your inkjet, and you can print one label at a time without wasting the rest of a sheet. We stock the full Dymo and Brother tape range. Tip: if you've inherited a printer at the office, check the cassette in it before ordering — the two brands aren't cross-compatible.
Binding machines & supplies
For training manuals, reports and tender documents, comb binding (plastic spirals) is still the workhorse — quick to assemble, easy to add or remove pages, lays flat. Our binding machines handle 15–25 sheet punches at a time. Match the coil size to the document thickness and finish with clear or card covers.
Calculators, scanners, price guns & the rest
Beyond the big four, this dept also covers the day-to-day equipment most offices need but rarely think about — desktop and printing calculators from Casio, document scanners, price and date guns for retail and stockroom labelling, and laptop bags and briefcases for the people who travel.
