Binding covers for comb, wire, coil and thermal binding: clear PVC fronts from 140 to 250 micron, leathergrain card backs in black, blue, white and red, plus frosted and thermal options in A4 and A3. Match them to the machines in our binding machines range.

Micron is the thickness, and a higher number stands stiffer. 140 to 180 micron suits everyday reports, while 200 to 250 micron is firmer so a thicker document stands up and resists curling. The cover comes a hundred to a pack.
A clear PVC cover is usually the front, so the title page shows through. A leathergrain card cover, in 250 to 300gsm, is the back, giving a firm, textured, professional finish. Most documents use a clear front and a card back together.
No. Thermal covers are a pre-glued wrap-around used only with a thermal binding machine, which melts the glue spine to grip the pages. They are not punched. Comb, wire and coil binding use separate clear and card covers that you punch with the pages.
A4 is the standard, with A3 available for larger and landscape documents. Thermal covers are sized by spine width to match the page count.

Clear fronts, card backs and thermal

Binding covers protect the front and back of a bound document. For comb, wire and coil binding you punch the cover with the pages: a clear PVC front shows the title page through it, in 140 up to 250 micron where a higher micron stands stiffer, and a leathergrain card back in 250 to 300gsm gives a firm professional finish.

Thermal covers are different, a pre-glued wrap-around sized by spine width that you do not punch. Frosted covers give a softer semi-clear look.

Thermal binding covers

Thermal covers are a different system: a pre-glued wrap-around cover, sized by spine width, that you do not punch. The spine glue melts in a thermal binding machine to grip the pages into a clean, book-like finish. Choose the spine width to match your page count.
