Returns Policy

At Discount Office, we accept change of mind returns on a wide range of products. If you've purchased something and it's not quite right, you're welcome to return it within the return window — no questions asked, as long as the item meets our return conditions below.

Our standard return window is 14 days from the date of delivery. Some products may have a longer or shorter return window — please check the return information shown on each product page for the specific return window that applies to your item.

How to return an item

Contact Us

Email us at support@discountoffice.co.nz within the return window. Include your order number and reason for return.

Get Approval

We'll review your request and provide a Return Authorisation (RA) number within 1-2 business days. Returns without an RA number cannot be accepted.

Pack & Ship

Place the item in its original packaging, then pack it inside a separate outer box to keep the product packaging untouched. Write the RA number clearly on the outside of the outer box. Include all accessories and documentation.

Refund Processed

Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund within 1-3 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Return conditions

✓ We Accept Returns When:

  • Item is in original, unopened packaging
  • Packaging is intact, undamaged and in new condition
  • Return is requested within the return window
  • Item is in resellable condition
  • All accessories and documentation are included
  • You have a valid Return Authorisation number

✗ We Cannot Accept Returns For:

  • Items that have been used or assembled
  • Custom-made or personalised products
  • Hygiene products that have been opened
  • Items not in their original condition
  • Items returned without authorisation
  • Clearance or final sale items

Exchanges

Need a different product? Exchanges are handled through our returns process — simply return the original item following the steps above and place a new order for the item you need. This ensures you get your replacement as quickly as possible.

Defective products

If your product arrives with a manufacturing fault or defect, we'll make it right. Contact us as soon as you notice the issue — defective product claims are not subject to the standard return window and are handled under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

To report a defective product:

  1. Email support@discountoffice.co.nz with your order number and a description or photo of the fault.
  2. Our team will assess the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund — including any return shipping costs.

Damaged or wrong items

If your order arrives damaged in transit or you've received the wrong product, please let us know within 5 business days of delivery.

  1. Email support@discountoffice.co.nz with your order number and photos of the damage or incorrect item.
  2. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping.

Please keep the original packaging and do not discard the item until we've resolved the issue.
