When ordinary ink disappears on dark or glossy card, metallic pens take over. Gold, silver and bright metallics write boldly where black and blue vanish, which makes them the go-to for invitations, place cards, craft and gift tags.

Metallic ink carries reflective pigment that sits on the surface rather than soaking in, so it stays bright and visible on dark, coloured and glossy card where ordinary ink simply disappears.
Metallic gel pens write smoothly and suit finer writing and detail. Paint-style metallic pens, which you shake and prime, give a thicker, more opaque and vivid line that covers the toughest surfaces best.
