A copysafe pocket, also called a sheet protector, is a clear plastic sleeve open along the top edge that holds a single sheet fully enclosed. It protects the page from finger marks, dust and creasing while it is flicked through in a binder. The pockets are punched to clip into ring binders and lever arch files.
Micron measures the thickness of the film. A standard pocket sits around 35 to 50 micron and suits documents that are filed and rarely handled. Heavy-duty pockets at 70 micron and premium grades up to 115 micron are stiffer and far harder to tear, which is what a reference binder in daily use needs.
