Match the holder to your printed material. A4 is standard letter size, A5 is half that, and DL is the long third-of-A4 shape used for tri-fold flyers and long menus. If your artwork falls between two sizes, choose the larger holder, since a sheet can sit inside a bigger pocket but will not fit a smaller one.

A menu or sign holder stands a single sheet upright so people can read it, such as a cafe menu or a counter price list. A brochure holder carries a stack of leaflets people can take away, as a single pocket, a tiered rack or a wall of pockets. Choose a sign holder to display, and a brochure holder to hand out.

DL is 99 x 210mm, roughly a third of an A4 sheet folded into three. It is the standard size for tri-fold flyers, long menus, property listings and compliments slips, which is why so many holders are made specifically for it.

Only the outdoor models. Outdoor brochure holders have a hinged lid and a backing that seal against rain and wind, so your flyers stay dry and in place. Standard indoor holders are open at the top and are not weatherproof, so keep those undercover.

Match the orientation to your printed artwork. Portrait holders suit a standard upright menu or flyer, while landscape holders suit wide artwork or a sign laid out horizontally. Many sizes are stocked in both, so pick the one that fits how your sheet is designed.
