What's the difference between a snap frame and a Manhattan poster frame?

A snap frame has hinged aluminium edges that flip open so you can swap the poster in seconds, then snap shut over a clear cover. They're the budget-friendly choice for frequent changes. A Manhattan frame is an enclosed, lockable display case built for tougher, more exposed outdoor sites where you want the poster sealed and secure. Snap frames suit a covered entrance or window. Manhattan cases suit a fully exposed wall.

Are these frames actually waterproof for NZ weather?

Yes, both ranges are made for outdoor use with sealed covers and weather-resistant aluminium, so rain and damp won't get to your poster. For fully exposed, west-facing or coastal spots that cop a lot of sun and salt, the enclosed Manhattan cases give you the best protection. Snap frames handle covered outdoor areas like a recessed entrance or a verandah really well.

What poster size do I need?

Our frames follow the standard A-series, so they take a printed A4, A3, A2, A1 or A0 poster with no trimming. A4 and A3 suit menus and notices near a door. A2 and A1 are the common shopfront and real estate sizes. A0 is for maximum impact on a large wall or a freestanding sign. Order the frame to match the poster size you'll print.

I lock the frame so posters aren't tampered with?

The Manhattan poster frames are lockable, which keeps the poster secure in public or street-facing spots where snap frames could be opened by anyone. If security isn't a concern, a snap frame is faster and cheaper to update. We sell both in black and silver across the full A4 to A0 range.

How do these frames mount to a wall?
