No. Inkjet transparency film is coated to hold inkjet ink, while laser and photocopier film is made to take the heat of a laser printer. Using the wrong type can smear the image or, worse, melt and damage the printer. Always match the film to your printer type, or choose write-on film to use by hand.
Write-on film is a plain clear sheet you mark by hand with an overhead-projector marker or whiteboard marker, for live notes during a presentation. It is not coated for printing, so it suits handwriting rather than running through a printer.
Overhead transparencies come in A4 and A3, in packs of 50 and 100 sheets. A4 suits a standard projector and most documents, while A3 covers larger diagrams and layouts.
As well as overhead projectors, clear film is used for craft, stencilling, overlays, and testing print registration. Choose the printable type if you need to print onto it, or write-on film for marking by hand.
