Stretch film locks a stacked pallet into one block so it travels without shifting. Hand rolls wrap by hand with a dispenser for low to medium volume; machine rolls run long on a powered wrapper for high volume. Pick the micron gauge to match the load, clear or black to suit, and add bundling film or pallet top covers as needed. Dispatched same or next working day from our Auckland warehouse, free over $30.

Hand film comes on shorter rolls you apply by hand, usually with a dispenser, and suits low to medium volume. Machine film comes on much longer rolls that run on a powered pallet wrapper, which pre-stretches the film so you use less per pallet. Machine rolls are too long for a hand dispenser, so the machine film is the pick once you have the wrapper.
Micron is the film thickness. Around 9 to 12 micron handles light, regular-shaped loads like boxed cartons. 15 to 20 micron covers most general freight. Step up to 23 micron and above for heavy loads or items with sharp corners that would punch through thinner film.
Not quite. Stretch film clings and stretches around a load by tension alone, with no heat. True shrink wrap is shrunk tight with a heat gun. The rolls in this range are stretch film, which is what most pallets and bundles are wrapped with day to day.
Black film hides what is on the pallet, which is useful for electronics, valuables or stock you would rather not advertise on a loading dock. Otherwise it wraps the same as clear film. Choose clear when you want to see the load or read labels through the wrap.
Bundling film is a narrow 100mm roll for holding things together rather than wrapping a pallet, such as tying up pipes, poles, timber or handles. It clings to itself with no tape or knots and peels off clean, leaving no residue on the goods.

Hand film, machine film and micron gauges

Hand stretch film comes on shorter rolls you wrap by hand, usually with a dispenser, and suits low to medium volume. Machine film comes on much longer rolls that run on a powered pallet wrapper, using less film per pallet once you ship enough to justify the machine. Clear film is the standard; black film hides the contents for security.

Micron is the film thickness. Around 9 to 12 micron handles light, boxed loads; 15 to 20 micron covers most general freight; 23 micron and up is for heavy or sharp-cornered loads that would tear thinner film. Bundling film is a narrow 100mm roll for tying poles and pipes, and pallet top covers sheet the top of a load against rain and dust.
