Steel is tougher and cheaper, good for busy or industrial spaces. Wood-look laminate (Cubit, Delta, Oki, Sonic) is made to match desk ranges, so it blends into an office. Both lock and both roll.

Most are around 600mm high and either 300mm (slim) or 390mm (standard) wide. Measure the gap under your desk and the leg clearance before you choose slim or standard.

Filing cabinets built for NZ desks and offices

Steel or wood-look, slim or standard: how to choose

Two decisions. First, steel or laminate: steel is tougher and cheaper, laminate matches your desks and softens the look of an office. Second, slim (300mm) or standard (390mm): slim fits tight under-desk gaps, standard gives you more drawer room. Measure the clearance under your desk before you pick.
