File-Rite is Filecorp's lateral filing system, where files stand side-on, spine outward, on open shelving rather than hanging front-to-back in drawers. You read the end tab like a book spine. It fits more files into the same floor space than drawer cabinets and speeds up filing and retrieval once the colour coding is set up.
A 15mm spine suits thinner files of a few dozen pages, while the 35mm spine takes a thicker document or a file that grows over time. Choosing the right width keeps the shelf tidy, since an underfilled wide file sags and an overfilled narrow one splits.
A left-hand pocket file has a pocket on the inside front face that holds a cover sheet, index or loose document separate from the main fastened contents. It keeps a summary or a running sheet visible the moment the file is opened, without punching it into the main stack.
Filecorp and Codafile are separate systems with their own files, labels and fasteners, so it is best to stay within one once chosen. If you are extending an existing lateral system, match what is already on your shelves. Both achieve the same colour end-tab result.

File-Rite by spine and pocket

File-Rite files come in 15mm and 35mm spine widths, the wider taking thicker documents. Left-hand pocket files hold a cover sheet or index on the inside face, and top-opening envelope and TAB-Top drawer files suit different cabinet setups.
