A cork board has a natural cork surface that grips drawing pins and self-heals over time, so it lasts for years of daily use. A fabric pinboard has a felt or fabric face that wipes clean and resists fading, which suits busy offices and reception areas. Both take standard pins.

For a single desk or home office, 300 x 450mm or 450 x 600mm is plenty. A standard office wall usually takes 600 x 900mm. For staff rooms and shared spaces go 900 x 1200mm, and for long display walls in foyers or schools the 1200mm wide boards run up to 3600mm.
